ABOUT ME


Hello! I am a graduate student and web developer currently attending the Masters in Computer Science program @ Northeastern. I worked as a Software developer co-op at Intuit @ San Diego, CA and worked as a full stack developer. Hailing from India, I have worked as a Software Engineer at Infogain for 2.5 years. During my formative undergraduate years, I was allured to explore computers beyond the basics, including programming languages, database systems and web development. With interns at Indian Oil corporation and IBM-Software excellance Lab, it has been a good learning experience. Aside from coding, I am also a fanatic of: playing table tennis, fifa and a listener of bollywood music. If you would like to send me any inquiries, please feel free to contact me.

My Work

  • 1. Software Engineer Co-op at INTUIT

    Location: ✦ San Diego, CA Tech Stack: ✦ Java Springboot ✦ ReactJs ✦ Javascript
    • Designed and developed User Interface to create a test environment for verifying tax forms using React and Redux.
    • Matured existing services layer in Java SpringBoot by automating all command line processes to give customers a single point of access
    • Created a system to incorporate major status tools (Jira, Github, Jenkins) into a single dashboard. Reduced 90 minutes per day context switching time of dev managers and rewarded with a Spotlight award.
    • Refined code coverage on project code base from 35% to 87% in Junit, chai and Jest frameworks.

  • 2. Data Crawler

    Tech Stack: ✦ Java ✦ Elastic Search ✦ Java libraries
    • Made a data crawler which crawl 85000 xml files.
    • Cleaned the data recieved.
    • Saved data to elastic search with structure mappings.
    • Using java, search for queries in elastic search and saved the result for queries.
    • Run different data rank models like Bm25, Okapi, laplace models on collected data.

  • 3. Web Crawler with web portal and Page Rank

    Tech Stack: ✦ Python ✦ Elastic Search ✦ React JS ✦ Flask
    • Made a web crawler for a particular query in group of four. Saved content and merged them as master-slave on Elastic Search
    • Saved cleaned data to elastic search with structure mappings.
    • Made a web portal where one could search the query and get the crawled result
    • Crawled result displayed along with author and author can rate whether the searched document is a bad, good or excellant document.
    • Run different data rank models like Bm25, Okapi, laplace models on collected ranks for each page, developing a page rank system.

  • 4. Fashion and You

    • Developed and maintained user interfaces for e-commerce company.
    • Built custom directives and filters for different modules.

  • 5. Weather Forecast App

    • Web App to search weather for a particular city in United States
    • Provides information about temperature, pressure and humidity of a place.
    • Also integrated google map for that city.
